About Ashley P. Martin

Ashley Martin is a martial arts enthusiast who started training in Shotokan Karate in 1992 and found this to be his calling and has never looked back. Initially, like so many karate practitioners, his martial arts were all about rank exams and karate competitions. However, his interest in the area soon widened, finding that the world of martial arts was enjoyable from a practical point of view as well as fascinating from a historical and geographical development aspect. He founded Just Karate, which is a martial arts school based in Cambridge, England. Here he has inspired numerous students through his teachings. Martin is also a martial arts writer, having authored other books such as "The Shotokan Karate Bible Series, How to Improve at Karate, " and "How to Improve at Judo."
