About Barbara Jude Frerichs

Barbara Jude Frerichs likes nothing better than diving into a new project. What My Dog Has Taught Me About Men began when she was texting friend, colleague, and confidant Becca Sales some of the sayings now illustrated in this volume. Becca suggested Barbara put them all into a book, and the challenge was on! Barbara considers herself the ultimate entrepreneur, having started the first online bookstore in 1989. She now owns several businesses on the East End of Long Island, including Teddys Goodies, a line of all-natural, gourmet dog treats. Alexis Seabrook is a widely published illustrator whose work has appeared in national newspapers, magazines, books, calendars, and ads. A native of Westport, Connecticut, she studied painting and illustration at Syracuse University and Parsons School of Design, and abroad in France and Italy. She has illustrated more than forty books, most notably the New York Times bestselling Daring Book for Girls series. She lives in Wilmington, North Carolina.
