Rugby's Best of the Best free pdf This work presents a 'best of' list connected to Welsh rugby from a great line-up of contributors, including current Wales stars Stephen Jones and Shane Williams, Welsh rugby legends Gareth Edwards, JPR and Jonathan Davies, along with international names such as Warren Gatland, Josh Lewsey and Philippe Sella. Full colour photography from one of the UK's leading sports photographers, Huw Evans, features throughout. He is the official photographer of the Welsh Rugby Union, and his images have appeared in newspapers and magazines across the UK. All of the stars featured have donated their time to help raise money for the Stepping Stones Appeal which aims to fund research at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff. The appeal is backed by the Welsh Rugby Team, officials of the WRU and the four regional rugby sides.

About Alun Wyn Bevan

In compiling this volume, self-confessed sports fanatic and maker of lists, Alun Wyn Bevan has been typically tenacious in his pursuit of the great and the good of Welsh rugby life (and beyond). Originally from Brynaman, but now of Neath, he came to prominence as a headteacher and a highly-respected first-class referee, before forging a successful career for himself in the Welsh and English-language media. He is also highly regarded as a sports author with his Stradey Stories, St Helen's Stories and Grav in his Own Words proving bestsellers. Born and bred in Pontypridd, Huw Evans's boyhood interest in ornithology drew him to photography. He was later inspired to turn his hobby into a career by Chris Smith, the Sunday Times sports photographer, since when Huw has become the Welsh Rugby Union's official photographer and an acknowledged leader in his field. His father, Meurig Evans, a headmaster in Cilfynydd, wrote two books on the coal mining industry.
