Jeroen Vandaele is full professor of Spanish at the University of Oslo. His research focuses on the intersections of censorship, narrative, humor, ideology and translation-with a special interest for Francoism. His more recent publications include "Traduccion cinematografica y traduccion intersemiotica" (in press, Sintesis), "The Implied Author as an Ethical Buffer: An Argument from Translated and Censored Fiction" (2014, Style), the double essay "Narrative Humor" (2012 and 2010, Poetics Today) and "It Was What It Wasn't. Translation and Francoism" (2010, Palgrave). In 2009 he coedited, with Geert Brone, the volume Cognitive Poetics: Goals, Gains and Gaps (Mouton de Gruyter). Jeroen Vandaele es catedratico en la Universidad de Oslo (ILOS, seccion iberorromanica). Su investigacion se centra en las intersecciones de la traduccion ideologica, la censura y la narrativa comica -con un interes particular por la poetica y politica cultural del franquismo.
