IAN HERBERT originally qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant and in almost 20 years in industry he undertook a variety of other roles in finance, marketing and general management. He moved into higher education in 1990, initially with Nottingham Trent University and later with the University of Derby, where he held the post of Placements Manager for a number of years. He is presently Lecturer at Loughborough University Business School.
