About Craig Russell

Craig Russell is the author of the Jan Fabel thrillers set in contemporary Hamburg and the Lennox series set in the Glasgow of the 1950s. He also writes non-crime fiction under the name Christopher Galt. His novels have been translated into twenty-four languages worldwide and dramatized for television and radio. The first German television adaptation of a Jan Fabel novel attracted an audience of six million viewers. He is the only non-German to have been awarded the Polizeistern (Police Star) by the Polizei Hamburg. In 2007 he was shortlisted for the 2007 CWA Duncan Lawrie Golden Dagger, the world's largest crime fiction award, and the French Prix Polar. In 2008, he won the CWA Dagger in the Library. A finalist for the 2012 Bloody Scotland Crime Book of the Year and the 2013 Ellis Peters Historical Dagger, he won the 2015 Bloody Scotland Crime Book of the Year.
