Other works are Approaches to Media Literacy: A Handbook- International Communications: A Media Literacy Approach- and Genre Studies in Mass Media: A Handbook. Silverblatt is vice president of Gateway Media Literacy Partners (GMLP), a regional media literacy consortium. He earned his doctorate from Michigan State University.
