About Dawn Starrett

Dawn Starrett was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a military family. Her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she attended schools in Las Vegas from kindergarten through a master's degree. She parlayed her education into a long-term career as a scientist/manager for federal contractors. On evenings and weekends she taught for 15 years as an adjunct Faculty for UNLV in their Psychology and Women's Studies Departments. She also spent 20 years teaching psychology courses for Baker College Online. She is new to writing and prefers writing nonfictional accounts. Her first book One Last Day: From Grief and Loss to Acceptance and Gratitude was published in 2013. A second book When the Lilacs Bloom was published in 2015. She continues to live with her family in Las Vegas.
