About Mark Zelman

Mark Zelman, PhD, is Associate Professor of Biology and Chair of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois. A native of Chicago, Mark received his BS in Biology, with minors in Psychology and Chemistry at Rockford College. Mark received his PhD from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Loyola University Chicago, where he studied bacterial and mammalian antigens in a mouse model for human autoimmune disease. Mark was a postdoctoral fellow at University of Chicago, where he studied molecular cell physiology.
