Books Info:

Let's Explore France free pdf Wander with our camera through the Normandy region and then on over the famous Pont de Normandie into the picturesque old port of Honfleur with France's oldest wooden church. Then into the streets of Rouen and its famous cathedral that inspired Monet. At Etretat, admire the chalk cliffs and the elephant of the Falaise d'Aval before proceeding to the Cote de Nacre, the historic site of the D-Day landings. Meander up the historic streets of Mont-St-Michel and explore the features of its monastery and the striking views around. Finally, a peaceful drive along the Route des Chaumieres, before proceeding to Monet's beautiful garden in Giverny. Special Topics: This DVD presents the distinguishing features of a traditional Norman house and a typical gite or holiday house (both Elementary-Intermediate level). They are complemented, at a more advanced level, by a detailed introduction to the making and selling of cider. This package is not intended to be a definitive view of Normandy. Through an extended visit, however, of a selection of representative features of the region, students gain a clear idea of the Norman landscape, its architecture, and the daily life in its cities and towns, including the better-known ones along the famous Norman coastline. The absence of recorded commentary conveys a sense of immediacy and allows teachers to adapt the materials both on the DVDs and the CD-ROM in order to work with their classes at an appropriate level. Teacher's notes, transcriptions, vocabulary, activities, puzzles and slide show.
