Jaynes speaks of experiences and confessions in not only his own life, but in the world around him. Growing up in a tough neighborhood and being the youngest of four children, John let his voice acknowledge itself upon the paper boldly and truthfully. He published his first poem in 1989 and has since published two books and numerous pieces in various magazines. He has won many awards for his poetic achievements. Now, after five years in the works, his first full collection of poems has been set free to the public Breaking the Silence.
