About Adrian F. Ashman

Adrian Ashman is Professor of Education and Head of the School of Education at The University of Queensland. He was trained as a psychologist in Australia and Canada and has taught courses on intellectual disability, special education, inclusion, counselling, and cognitive educational psychology over many years. He has published very extensively in each of these areas including more than 20 books and 200 journal articles and chapters. John Elkins is a Professor in the School of Cognition, Language and Special Education at Griffith University. He has had a long and distinguished career, first as a science teacher, then as a university lecturer and researcher. His work in intellectual disability, special education, inclusion, literacy, and numeracy has won him many acclamations in Australia and internationally, especially in the United States.
