About Clare Forrest

Clare Forrest Following a career in operational management and human resources, Clare Forrest has been a training consultant and seminar speaker since 1985, specialising in management development and communication skills through her company, Structured Learning. A consultant, designer, coach and presenter on many programmes, Clare is a counsellor, NLP Master Therapist, a clinical hypnotherapist, and works with individuals on anxiety and stress management. These regularly include individuals whose biggest challenge is giving a presentation. Clare is co-author of Fenman's Advanced Presentation Techniques and a regular contributor to Training Journal. Malcolm Harper Malcolm Harper has over 20 years of education, training and development experience, with around 13 of those as a training manager. He has developed and run around 80 assessment and development centres, assessing posts from Chief Executive and Director level to clerical and administrative. Some of his work has been used with a leading standard-setting body in the UK. In addition to extensive public sector experience, he has researched private sector practice. Malcolm now works as an independent consultant, trading as Ability Now! The Ability Now! project team have delivered a range of work, from full staff attitude surveys to team-building events and management development courses and programmes. Malcolm is the author of Fenman's The Assessment and Development Centre Toolkit. Dai Jenkins An experienced project designer and trainer, Dai has devised and presented learning modules for The Open University's Humanities Courses, in addition to working on a number of specialist education projects in a variety of media. Dai is co-author of The Blended Training Toolkit published by Fenman Limited. Mike Levy Mike Levy is a respected contributor to Training Journal, Director Magazine, Education, Computing and Technology and the Times Educational Supplement in his specialist areas of training and computing. Mike's published works include Managing The Millennium Bug (Gower Publishing, 1999), Successful Marketing (David Grant, 1997) and Stress Management Made Easy (Lawpack Publications, 2001). Mike is co-author of Fenman's The Blended Training Toolkit. Mike Pedler Mike Pedler works with people in organisations on learning and development processes and practices. He is particularly known for his work on self-development, Action Learning and The Learning Organisation. He encountered Action Learning in 1975, on meeting Reg Revans, since when it has become his main working discipline. Mike is still attempting to work with, and learn from, the ideas first heard then. Currently he is Revans Professorial Fellow in the Revans Institute for Action Learning and Research at the University of Salford, UK, Visiting Professor in the Centre for Leadership Development at the University of York, UK, and a partner in the consultancy network Whole Systems Development. He has written and co-authored a number of books and articles including Fenman's The Action Learning Toolkit. Arthur Proud Arthur Proud is an organisation development specialist focusing particularly on human resource management and the management of change. His experience has included a variety of consultancy roles within BT and Price Waterhouse and with the public sector. He has designed and implemented programmes of training for internal consultants and change agents, and written a number of manuals for Fenman including All Change! Larry Reynolds Larry is MD of 21st Century Leader, a company that specialises in facilitating small groups to have a big impact. He regularly facilitates groups to clarify a vision, develop leaders and improve business results. He also leads training in leadership and facilitation skills. Larry has written a number of books and resource packs on leadership and training, including Business-focused Training for Fenman Limited. He has been a regular contributor to Training Journal. Larry lives in Yorkshire with his wife and two children. In his spare time he plays the piano and runs on the fells. Work, family, friends and learning all play an important part in his life, and he works hard to find the right balance between them. David Simmonds David's lifelong experience in training and development has included working in large and small, public, private and voluntary sector organisations. David still works in a training and consultancy capacity with many organisations, including those in the pharmaceutical, airline, and manufacturing industries, as well as local government and health authorities. He also draws upon experience of sales and sales management, and brings a wide perspective to training and development issues which is welcomed by learners of all disciplines. Essentially practical in nature, David's approach to learning methods is formed from a strong desire to see the training and development in an organisation become central to its strategic plans and goals. When resources are used to develop people, then he believes it is essential to select and apply appropriate learning methods. David is author of Fenman's The Learning Methods Toolkit. Margaret Zuppinger After a career in the retail industry and then the Department of Employment and Training Division in front line and managerial roles, Margaret Zuppinger has been a training consultant and motivational seminar speaker since 1992. Margaret specialises in behavioural, interpersonal and presentation skills, delivered through her company, Margaret Zuppinger Partnership. Margaret is also a trained counsellor, an internationally accredited NLP Master Practitioner, and holds qualifications in Assertiveness and Stress Management. She uses her knowledge and expertise to help those who deal with people to achieve maximum success. She is co-author of Fenman's Advanced Presentation Techniques.
