About J. H. Ainsworth

J H Ainsworth is the author of 'Killing Paparazzi', his debut novel. He works as a doctor in a busy Edinburgh Medical Practice, often writing into the small hours of the night. His second novel, 'Day of the Komodo', has taken nearly three years to write and publish. This narrative has resulted from his huge experience of world travel, often done with nothing more than a rucksack. He has stayed in rat infested hostels and experienced the extreme poverty in countries where diseases such as leprosy and open cancers were too expensive to treat. However, it was the lasting image of a young Vietnamese girl in a detention camp near Hong Kong which inspired 'Day of the Komodo'. She had been raped by bandits on the South China Seas after her parents had been gunned down. With many stories to tell, J H Ainsworth combines his medical knowledge creating a new genre of crime, medical romance and real life events. This eclectic mixture of fact and fiction has added realism to the hard hitting tales, something which is much appreciated by his growing readership. He is currently working on his third novel.
