That was it! There were no books on the subject in bookstores or libraries. The internet was in its infancy - you couldn't even send an email. With an information void, he had no choice, but to take recovery into his own hands. Armed with hope, determination and a positive attitude, he recorded daily accounts of what worked and didn't work, until he amassed four years of handwritten diaries, daily journals and notebooks.Using his personal experience of battling Meniere symptoms and making a recovery, he decided to write a series of coherent books to cover every aspect of this multifaceted condition. On completion of his first manuscript, three years later, he presented it to his two ENT specialists to review. Both professionals said, the insights gained on how to manage Meniere's, was invaluable from a patients' perspective. They believed, even medical people would benefit from his experience.Since publishing the first self-help memoir and a complete series of self-help books, he hopes the world for Meniere's sufferers is a less frightening place."Every life-changing event happens for a reason. If this book finds you on the same Meniere's journey, there are two things I'd like to add here. HOPE and my heartfelt and sincere BEST WISHES for a full recovery very soon. If I can do it, then so will you." About Meniere Man

At the height of his business career, the author suddenly became acutely ill. He was diagnosed with Meniere's disease. But the full impact of having Meniere's disease was to come later. He was to lose not only his health, but his career as well. He also began to lose all hope that he would fully recover a sense of well-being. It was his personal spirit and desire to get "back to normal" that changed his life for the better. He decided that you can't put a limit on anything in life. Rather than letting Meniere's disease get in the way of recovery, he started to focus on what to do. Without any invasive surgery, medical procedures or drug dependency, he went from Meniere sufferer to Meniere survivor. Now he shares this journey in a series of self help books, each covering different aspects of Meniere's disease. These days life is different for the Author. He is a fit active man who has no symptoms of Meniere's disease except for 90% permanent hearing loss and tinnitus in one ear. Following his own advice he continues to avoid salt, stress, takes vitamins, exercises regularly and maintains a positive, mindful attitude. He does not take any medication. He has a firm belief that if you want to experience a marked improvement in health, you can't wait until you feel well to start. You must begin to improve your health now, even though you may not feel like it. He knows, 'The more you do, the more you can do'. Today the Author is a writer and painter. He is married with two adult children. He enjoys the sea, cooking, travel and the great company of family, friends and his beloved dog, Bella.
