About MR Don G Ford

He writes with a down-home feeling. Nature and conservation are popular topics with him. He writes in many genres. He is known for his poetry and storytelling. Short stories are his favorite form of writing. A Native American writer and an Environmentalist caring for the natural world of water, land, air, and all living things. Don was penning stories from the age of 15. At no time did he put down his pen. He has sold numerous short stories across the U.S. and now in Europe, with connections in 62 other countries, which includes Portugal and Cyprus in particular. Over the past seven years he has been compiling many of his short stories into book format, and has recently had many of them published. (photo of Don Ford as storyteller at the New York State Fair, the summer of 2011.) From 2006 to 2011, he was the Forum Moderator for both the Humor Forum and the Spiritual Forum for Writer's Digest Magazine. He was also named as his town's Poet Laureate based on the volume of his published poetry across the globe. P.S. When he shares at retirement homes in his area, he bring along loads of poems and stories. Each one gets an equal voice- neither is better than the other. A lady the other day stopped him and said she never heard anyone combine poetry and storytelling in the way he did. She loved it.
