Act IV. - Same as Act II. The same evening. David, although wounded, is much exercised over his supper. Richard and David renew friendship. Richard worried about the receipt held by Phil. David promises his help. Susie's kindness. Thorndyke's apology. Eleanore as nurse. Leigh's tumble. David toasted. David and Phil. bargain for return of receipt given by Richard and how it resulted.
