Inspired by the outcry of children in Chicago made through a campaign called "Don't shoot I want to live," Anastatia opens us up to the reality of what is presently taking place throughout our nation, "Gun violence has spread like a plague." We see it so much people have become desensitized to how extreme the issue is." After hearing our children cry out it became even more apparent to focus on this issue. Anastatia's "I Heard Chicago Crying" was created in order to refocus our attention on gun violence and provide a sense of hope that change is a possibility.
