Muhammad - The Messenger of God free pdf The message the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, brought in the seventh century did not only change a small community in the Arabian Peninsula. Over one-fifth of the world population today testifies to him as the final Messenger of God. His voice is still heard in the modern age as powerfully and influentially as it was fourteen centuries ago when he emerged as one single man to convey the will of God to humanity. In this book, Gulen delves deep into the reasons as to how a single man - with no means of power - was able to leave such indelible marks on millions of minds and souls. Rather than listing events in a chronological biography, Gulen follows an analytical framework of the Prophet's mission and character, providing numerous accounts from his lifetime. Gulen presents the Prophet in the different roles he assumed within his community as a father, husband, statesman, chief of staff, and an individual with utmost compassion, wisdom, grace, humility, and trustworthiness. One of the most celebrated teachers of Islam in Turkey, Gulen is outstanding with his double-winged intellectual background that is embedded in traditional Islamic scholarship on the one hand and his progressive vision on the other. "Muhammad: The Messenger of God" is regarded as Gulen's masterpiece and has been published in 12 languages.

About M.Fethullah Gulen

Known by his simple and austere lifestyle, Fethullah Gulen, affectionately called Hodjaefendi, is a scholar of extraordinary proportions. This man for all seasons was born in Erzurum, eastern Turkey, in 1941. Upon graduation from a private divinity school in Erzurum, he obtained his license and began to preach and teach about the importance of understanding and tolerance. His social reform efforts have made him one of Turkey's most well-known and respected public figures during the 1960s. Gulen has spent his adult life voicing the cries and laments, as well as the beliefs and aspirations, of Muslims in particular and of humanity in general. He bears his own sorrows, but those of others crush him. He feels each blow delivered at humanity to be delivered first at his own heart. He feels himself so deeply and inwardly connected to creation that once he said: "Whenever I see a leaf fall from its branch in autumn, I feel as much pain as if my arm had been amputated.
