About Charles Lamb

Born in London, essayist Charles Lamb (1775-1834) achieved success through the publication of 'Tales from Shakespeare', which he produced with his sister Mary. He is best known for the essays he wrote under his pseudonym, 'Essays of Elia' (1822-23).
