About Audacia Ray

Rachel Aimee: Rachel Aimee is a writer, editor, and activist living in Brooklyn, NY. Born and raised in Scotland, she moved to New York in 2004 and co-founded $pread, a magazine by and for sex workers, where she was editor-in-chief. She organizes for strippers' rights with the outreach project We Are Dancers. Eliyanna Kaiser: Eliyanna Kaiser was an executive editor at $pread from 2005 to 2008. She edited the columns Intercourses, the Healthy Hooker, and On the Street. Kaiser also wrote a number of feature length articles for the magazine. Kaiser now works with the Red Umbrella Project (RedUP). Audacia Ray: Audacia Ray is the founder and executive director of the Red Umbrella Project (RedUP), a peer-led organization in New York that amplifies the voices of people in the sex trades through media, storytelling, and advocacy programs.
