Books Info:

Coping with Terrorism free pdf Best-selling author, Carole Lieberman, has helped millions of readers and patients cope with their deepest fears. Now, devoted to calming fears of the ultimate monster in the closet...she turns on the light to expose and demystify terrorism. How do you live calmly under the current specter of terrorism? This book goes beyond the practical - to the psychological and spiritual - answering questions you haven't dared ask out loud. Dr. Lieberman's cutting edge research explains why you must depend upon yourself to survive a terrorist attack and teaches you how. Since the dreadful events of 9/11 in the USA, 7/7 in London, Madrid, Turkey, and other places, we have come to understand that terrorism recognises no boundaries and respects no one. London, on 7/7, experienced the latest in a string of atrocities against our country. We also know that however diligent our policing and security services are, there are people that may breach our defences and who will try to hurt us again. How can we cope with this? What happens to us if we are caught up in one of these wicked acts? How can we begin to look after ourselves after such an attack? What is the terrorist stress test? What are we feeling, and why? What happens to our love and sex lives? How do we cope with our job and money matters? Are there psychological survival skills to be learned? How do we help our children, our teenagers, to survive? How do we plan for an uncertain future and how do we cope with the deaths of loved ones and strangers? Drawing on a wealth of research, psychologist, Dr Carole Lieberman explains what is known...she also shows how we can survive the unthinkable, tells us why we should understand our enemies, and warns us that terrorism is the ultimate copycat crime.
