About Lou Marinoff

Lou Marinoff earned his doctorate in Philosophy of Science at University College London- has held research fellowships at University College and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem- and is Associate Professor of Philosophy and former Chair of Philosophy at The City College of New York. He is past president of the American Society for Philosophy, Counseling and Psychotherapy (ASPCP), founding president of the American Philosophical Practitioners Association (APPA), and on the Faculty of the World Economic Forum. His books include the international bestseller "Plato, Not Prozac!" (HarperCollins, 1999), written for a general audience- "Philosophical Practice" (Academic Press, 2001)- and Therapy for the Sane (formerly "The Big Questions") (Bloomsbury).
