After graduation from school he became a sports reporter and has since done newspaper and magazine work of every type. He has written four books: An Intimate Biography of Charles Dickens, This Is Upton Sinclair, The Amazing Story of James J. Brad-dock, and The Abbe of Abbey Down. Mr. Harte. as he himself relates, "began World War II service as just another infantryman.
