John Clare free pdf John Clare: A Poet for all Seasons is a superb anthology combining the poems of John Clare, the nineteenth century poetic commemorator of the English countryside and rural life - the so-called 'Northamptonshire Peasant Poet'. Arranged according to season, including some extracts from Clare's poems and his diary, this quiet revelation opens with an introduction in which the author describes his background as a photographer with an interest in illustrating literary works, and gives an account of his first discovery of Clare's poetry. This is followed by a short biographical sketch of the Poet and the main body of the manuscript provides us with a glimpse into what we might otherwise have overlooked.

About Peter Moyse

Peter Moyse has had a love of photography from a young man, when he first joined local photographic societies while working in a London bank. It was at the request of a friend that he produced a folio illustrating Flora Thompson's "Lark Rise to Candleford". A later project, "Trees Please", led to his discovery of John Clare, which gave impetus to a photographic and literary passion that has been with him ever since. He became a member of the John Clare Society from its inception in 1981, and following retirement he and his late wife Mary moved to Helpston where he could pursue the twin theme of photography and John Clare. Peter then devised a travelling photographic exhibition for the Society, which became a model of its kind. This was followed by a very successful photographic celebration entitled "John Clare, the Poet
