About Chris Steele-Perkins

Christ Steele-Perkins, an award-winning photographer based in London and Tokyo, is a member of the famed co-operative Magnum Photos, which he joined in the same year as he published his first book, The Teds. His work has received the highest awards in photojournalism, including: the Tom Hopkinson Prize for British Photojournalism- the Oscar Barnack Prize from the World Press Association- the Robert Capa Gold Medal from ICP- the Cooperative Society and One World Awards for the film Dying for Publicity- and a 2000 World Press Award.
