About Andrea Kong

Andrea X. Kong is not a stranger to any form of sustainable living as she grew up in a very conservative home in which her parents practiced some of the tenets of sustainable farming. When she grew up she opted to remain on the property her parents had and continued to live that lifestyle, only staying in the city on occasion for work. She had a keen interest in finding even more ways to maintain this sort of living and ended up coming across permaculture. Curiosity got the better of her and she simply had to get more research done to find out as much as she could about it. To her it seemed like an extreme form of sustainable living but some of the tenets actually made sense to her. As a result of this she made the decision to adopt some of the principles into her and her family's lifestyle.
